Finally feel a bit zingy,
Or at least not queasy
The last few days feeling rough weren’t easy
Need to get that spring back
That spark
The one I can’t find in my drink
It’s too dark
I tried
It lies
I went back to my old ways
Was hungover and sick for days
I’m ready now to try new ways
To leave the booze behind
Could be for good
It’s ok I find
Not too scary
I don’t like the drunk version of me
She’s too lairy
Too loud and aggressive
Or so I’ve been told
I need a new version of me
‘Cos that one’s getting old
So, I need to focus on and increase
My alcohol free treats
Add in some hobbies
Eat more healthy
You know
I just need to look after me
Now I’m calling time
On wine o-clock
‘Cos I’m learning slowly
That alcohol free rocks!
