When we kick out the alcohol toxicity
We make way for authenticity
It was patiently waiting, listening
For the fake friend to leave the party
So it could really get it started
And mean something
I’m glad I’m listening now
And learning how
To rid myself of alcohol
It’s the toxic voice’s curtain call
To it I’ll say
There’s no longer a place for you here
With me
Ive discovered you’re a liar you see
And an enemy
Also, Ive met authenticity
And they seem a better fit for me
So understand you’ll no longer command my full attention
In fact you won’t even get a mention
That’s my intention
And though it might have it’s difficulties
In sticking to my resolve occasionally
I’ve lots of determination
Bolstered kindly when necessary
By the BOOM community 😀😊

If you’re “sober curious” …
If you are drinking too much too often and want to stop or take a break…
