There were certainly plenty of people around that witnessed my behavior. However, only one person wrestled with me every morning about my drinking habits: me. It was me that woke…

The Reality of Living Sober
Read more: The Reality of Living SoberWhere was I in relation to alcohol a year ago? When drinking, I was stuck in the pattern of over-drinking most if not every day of the week. More and more frequently I would binge drink to the point of blackouts and epic hangovers. I would try to cut back, but the promises I made…

How Drunk is too Drunk?
Read more: How Drunk is too Drunk?Today is my birthday, and it is my first sober birthday in a long, long time. My birthday slogan for many years was, “No one should remember the day they turn a year older,” and boy oh boy did I make sure that was the case. I threw huge, booze-soaked parties almost every year, and…

“It was a random day of internet searching that brought me to Boozemusings Blog and to Boom Community, and my life has been changed by it. I needed some kind of “epiphany” for a mind change, and I have learned things about alcohol and its physical effects that have given me that kind of enlightenment. I check in several times a day and it is like meeting with my family. The resources here are incredible, and inexhaustible. I have quit lit books, etc. Will check out some of the other resources in others’ responses, but for me, Boom has been the answer. I feel it has to do with the tireless work of Boom’s creators. Thank you, Boom!!!!!!!”
