When thoughts turn to cravings
And you’re thinking of caving
Remember
you have a life
worth saving
You think it’s fine
I’ll just have one
Or two at the most
Then the fcuk it switch goes
And your resolve is toast
Try and surf the urge
With curiosity, and distraction
Cravings are annoying thoughts
But they’re temporary, not compulsory
And don’t require action
Try not to let
Should I – Shouldn’t I
thoughts click the fcuk it switch
Don’t be tormented
by confusing thoughts which
Could be like crashing
your car in a
ditch
It’s much steeper than it looked
And you know what it took
To get out of that mess
Everything you had to address
It’s true that re-balancing
can be challenging
But it’s never not worth it
So remember,
when struggling,
To surf it
The Wine Witch can keep her toxic elixir
Sobriety for me now holds much less fear
What I’m seriously craving
Is my life
It’s worth saving
