Read more: 3 Songs to Inspire You in Living Proudly Alcohol-FreeSobriety and freedom were not words that I associated with one another until very recently. When I realized that I needed to stop drinking I was terrified that my life would become dull. Without color. Without creative focus. The Adventure of Discovery in Recovery – A Podcast with Thoughts on Neuroplasticity in Sobriety
Read more: The Adventure of Discovery in Recovery – A Podcast with Thoughts on Neuroplasticity in SobrietyI once thought that if I was going to be successful at staying sober long term, I would have to join Alcoholics Anonymous and work the 12 steps, but as I near the beginning of my 7th-year alcohol- free, I have found that following my own path has meant that rather than “living in recovery”…

It was very…

Read more: Everything I Needed to Go Sober I Learned Teaching PreschoolI’m a preschool teacher. I’ve been noticing as I write my way through my second year sober that the first months of my sober journey followed the curriculum I teach at school pretty closely. We start…

“It was a random day of internet searching that brought me to Boozemusings Blog and to Boom Community, and my life has been changed by it. I needed some kind of “epiphany” for a mind change, and I have learned things about alcohol and its physical effects that have given me that kind of enlightenment. I check in several times a day and it is like meeting with my family. The resources here are incredible, and inexhaustible. I have quit lit books, etc. Will check out some of the other resources in others’ responses, but for me, Boom has been the answer. I feel it has to do with the tireless work of Boom’s creators. Thank you, Boom!!!!!!!”
